The History of Horse Hair Pottery
One day, one of the potters was pulling out a newly fired batch of pottery when she noticed that one of her own strands of hair had fallen on one of the pots and scorched the pot. It was from this accident that the idea of using horse hair as a method to decorate pottery was invented. There were several trial and errors that took place over several years, until they mastered the art of what is now called “Horse Hair Pottery”.
